Northern Colorado Territory Manager

$40,000-60,000/yr

Job Description: Wibby Brewing is seeking a motivated, ambitious and self-starting individual to join our sales team. This individual will be responsible for managing the sales within the Northern Colorado territory and working with the High Country Distributing team. This position will report directly to our Regional Sales Manager and will focus on growing sales within our distribution channel. In addition, this position is responsible for increasing consumer awareness of our brand and our taproom/brewery by conducting various events such as beer festivals, tap takeovers, pint nights samplings/tastings, and more. A successful representative of Wibby Brewing will focus on building valuable relationships with our customers and distribution partners. While servicing our existing customers there will be an emphasis on consistently pursuing and adding new customers and business opportunities as well.

Hours: Full-time, exempt position. Position requires travel as well as occasional evening and weekend work.

Requirements:

-       1+ years experience in the craft beer industry

-       Residence in Northern Colorado (Longmont, Loveland, Fort Collins, Greeley or surrounding areas)

-       Have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel with vehicle

-       Basic computer skills with Google Drive, Excel, Word etc.

-       Have a strong knowledge or passion for the craft brewing industry

-       Ability to maintain a level of professionalism while working in settings where alcohol is being consumed

The following duties and responsibilities will be divided amongst each shift’s team(s):

Environmental

  • Maintain a welcoming, educational, safe, and inviting environment

  • Increase customer satisfaction and overall visitor experience through diverse brewery event programming

  • Exceed guest expectations with exemplary service

  • Achieve the highest standard of quality and customer service whilst never cutting corners

  • Create memorable experiences through attentiveness and attention to detail

  • Meaningful/genuine, respectful dialogue is required for first timers and regulars alike

  • Staff is expected to be able to give a basic tour of the brewhouse, brewery campus, as well as explain our products in detail as well as our backstory i.e. we are a lagerhaus

  • Take detailed reservation requests and place on shared calendar

  • Execute tasks for events (concerts, markets, events) as they pertain to layout and service

Tactical

  • Responsibly prepare and serve alcoholic beverages to customers for dine-in, to go, and delivery

  • Properly check for identification and follow laws regulating the sale and consumption of alcohol

  • Rinse + precisely pour drinks into assigned glassware size / type to help minimize waste/shrinkage

  • Assist in monitoring/replenishing taproom inventory (kegs/packaged product; merch)

  • Ability to transport kegs with a dolly; change out kegs; and monitor beer supply

  • Perform various opening and closing duties as well as identifying items to be complete from the side work checklist and addressing them

  • Various cleaning and organizational tasks with additional responsibility per current regs as they pertain to COVID-19

  • While we will have a cleaning crew, maintain cleanliness by sweeping floors/patios, mopping, straightening/cleaning tables/bar/restrooms, sidework, is required 

  • FOH will work with a maintenance team to handle bigger projects requiring equipment (leaf blowing; pool cleaning; snow plowing)

  • Report any unusual cooler/cold room equipment issues to brewery/maintenance to troubleshoot, remediate

  • When any problems occur, resolve them with minimal disruption to customers. Seek help from a manager and/or colleague  if needed

Strategy

  • Leave impressions that reinforce the Wibby Brewing brand, mission, products, events, and space

Note: Shifts might incorporate one or more of the following position responsibilities depending on reservations, events, and as appropriate (e.g. concert, private pool party; taproom etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 year minimum of bartending and/or brewery/winery/special event catering or comparable experience

  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, even with a mask on!

  • Personality that is hospitality and customer service-focused, providing and mastering exceptional customer while working through high-volume situations

  • Manage time well. Refinement of attention to detail. 

  • Possess ability to multitask. Simultaneously executing a range of tasks divided amongst the team to achieve a common goal

  • Familiarity using POS (most transactions are done contact-free but not all), accurate tab-keeping; handling of credit cards and money; GSuite web applications

  • Proactive not reactive. Lead by setting the example.  Exemplary employees are rewarded, compensated via bonuses, and awarded with the preferred shifts.

  • Ability to remain calm, flexible and problem solve under pressure with minimum disruption to customer 

  • Organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as a team with a diverse group of people

  • Must have some familiarity with the brewing process

  • Able learn, adapt and lead by setting an example for positive precedent

Physical Requirements

Physical working conditions are required with this position. The work areas are sometimes tight, vast, and/or mechanical and require a significant amount of walking and working on wet slippery surfaces. You may be active for long periods of time in addition to transporting heavy objects.

Working in proximity to vessels and pipes under pressure containing air, CO2, water, beer, hazardous chemicals, cords, lights, entertainment equipment is commonplace.

Conditions of Employment

Must obtain TIPS Certification within one week of hire date.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge and experience using Clover and GoTab POS System

  • Experience utilizing Google GSuite to find, print documents

  • Knowledge/interest of the craft brewing industry, the organization, its history and its product offerings

  • Be able to lift 75 pounds, to bend and twist, repeatedly walk large distances with drinks and be on your feet for most of each shift. The workspace can be crowded and the floor can be slippery so caution must be practiced.

Hours

Ability to work a variety of hours and days as business levels are affected by season. Shift preferences considered but not always guaranteed. Must be able to be versatile and flexible work days, weekends, evenings, holidays, and events. Must be willing and able to be around alcohol responsibly. These positions are 24-32 hours per week

We value our employees and pay a competitive hourly rate, plus tips which average $26-$36/hr on top of your hourly wage. All tips are pooled and split. Benefits are offered to FT employees.
